KÖSTER Flex Tape K 120 is a highly flexible, rubber-like joint sealing tape made from high quality elastomer. It is used to connect area waterproofings in zones which are in danger of cracking. KÖSTER Flex Tape K 120 is resistant to diluted acids, alkalis and salt solutions.
Field of application
KÖSTER Flex Tape K 120 creates a homogeneous connection between diverse area waterproofings (e.g. KÖSTER Deuxan®, KÖSTER Bikuthan®, KÖSTER BD 50, KÖSTER KBE Liquid Film, KÖSTER NB Elastic, KÖSTER Dachflex®) in crack-prone areas. It
seals construction joints in wet rooms, on balconies, terraces and bridges transitions in wall / floor junctions.

Application
KÖSTER Flex Tape K 120 is layed on top of the joints and cracks to be bridged whereby the mesh on both edges of the tape is embedded into the area waterproofing. The elastic rubber strip remains unconnected and can thus compensate the movements of the building structure.
It is necessary to fill joints and cracks wider than 3 mm before applying the tape with a suitable material (e.g. with KÖSTER Joint Sealant FS-V or FS-H) or to grout them with an elastic material (e.g. with KÖSTER KB-Pur® IN 2).
