Application
areas
Sealing of pipe and cable
penetrations at basements
and retaining walls. Can
also be used to seal water
break troughs.
Substrate
Dry, moist or wet. The
substrate be free of grease,
oil, tar and other contaminants
which might affect the
bonding adversely. Suitable
substrates are concrete,
brick work, mortars, plasters,
and all other mineral
construction materials,
KB-FLEX 200 will also
bond on ceramic, PVC,
polyethylene and polypropylene.
Application
Heat KB-Flex 20° to
30° C in water before
commencing work to reach
suitable working consistency.
The area to be treated
must be thoroughly cleaned
for dust, sand and other
contaminants. Before applying
KB-Flex 200 a barrier
made of fast curing PU
foam must be placed in
10 cm depth. The KB-Flex
200 cartridge s then placed
in the gun and then pressed
through the nozzle. After
sealing cable penetrations,
twist the cable and press
the KBFlex 200 into the
voids created by the flexing
using a spatula firmly.
For additional safety,
we recommend to seal the
end of the penetration
duct with KB-Fix 5. If
a new cable is to be added
at a later stage, then
remove the KBFix 5 plug,
press the cable through
the (existing) KB-Flex
200. Then press the KB-Flex
200 firmly into place
using a spatula –
if necessary some more
KB-Flex 200 can be added.
