DESCRIPTION
Koster NB-Elastic is a watertight,
elastic, wear- and tear
resistant coating, at
the same time providing
excellent adhesion to
all mineral substrates.
Koster NB-Elastic is resistant
to foot traffic and abrasion.
Being mineral based; it
has a good UV resistance
and is ideal for balcony
repairs. It bridges cracks
up to 2 mm after a curing
time of 5 hours.

FIELD OF APPLICATION
It is suitable for application
to exposed surfaces subjected
to mechanical stress.
Examples are: waterproofing
layer on terraces and
balconies, as protection
for concrete surfaces
used for pedestrian traffic,
as waterproofing for water
tanks, swimming pools,
wet- and damp rooms and
as sub-layer and adhesive
for tiles and ceramic
coatings.
PREPARATION OF
SUBSTRATE
The surface has to be
sound and solid, free
of laitance, paint form
oil and other contaminants
that might affect the
bonding adversely. This
also includes plasters
and skim coats where the
bond strength cannot be
verified. Suitable tools
are wire brushes, highpressure
water jets, sand and shot
blasting. Cracks and surface
honeycombs should be chiselled
open so that application
of an even uniform coat
can be achieved. To avoid
a porous surface “stealing”
the mixing water and thus
causing a premature reaction
of the hydraulic system
and subsequent reduced
performance, the substrate
should always be thoroughly
wetted down so that it
is saturated before commencing
the actual application.
APPLICATION
Both components come in
proportionate quantities.
Mix them thoroughly by
adding the powder component
to the liquid component.
On achieving the required
consistency, Koster NB Elastic
may be applied on the
pre-wetted surface, in
single or double coats,
with a brush or trowel.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
With water immediately
after use.

be stored cool and frost
free.
