Koster Repair Mortar is a watertight repair mortar and plaster with excellent adhesion even to old building material substrates. With the addition of Koster SB Bonding Emulsion, it can be used as PCC (polymer-modified cement concrete) mortar or PMM (Polymer Modified Mortar)

SUBSTRATE
The surface has to be clean, sound and solid, free of oil and grease, laitance, paint form oil and other contaminants that might affect the bonding adversely. The KÖSTER Repair Mortar bonds to virtually any mineral substrate. Pre-coat the external basement wall with KÖSTER NB I grey (consumption app. 4 kg /m²) before creating the fillet. If the whole surface is to be coated we recommend to apply a plaster key consisting of repair mortar and water /SB-Bonding-Emulsion (25 % admixture to the mix water).
APPLICATION
Mix 30 kg of KÖSTER Repair Mortar into the pre - mixed Koster SB - Bonding Emulsion / Water liquid component to achieve mortar / plaster consistency. The mortar has a pot life of approx. 3 hours. Apply KÖSTER Repair Mortar with commonly used mason tools. The material can be prepared without use of KÖSTER SB - Bonding Emulsion, in this case add one more litre of water instead.
INSTALLATION OF FILLETS (stressed by pressurised water):
The substrate has to be primed with KÖSTER NB I Grey (consumption: approx. 1 kg / m²). Allow the KÖSTER NB I Grey to cure for at least 24 hours. Now the fillet can be installed (leg length of approx. 4 – 6 cm) using KÖSTER Repair Mortar (Mix 30 kg of KÖSTER Repair Mortar into the pre - mixed Koster SB - Bonding Emulsion / Water liquid component to achieve plaster consistency). Allow the fillet to dry for another 24 hours before applying the bitumen thick film sealant (e.g. DEUXAN 2C Extratight).
Cleaning Of tools : Clean tools Immediately after use with water.
